Get To Know Canada's Newest R&B Sensation: Rhyan Douglas

19-year old Brampton singer-songwriter Rhyan Douglas is here to stay.

There’s something in the water over in Canada. For the past decade (and some change), there has been a constant stream of talent making a name for themselves in the R&B world. The Weeknd, Drake, PartyNextDoor, Jessie Reyez, Tory Lanez, Daniel Caesar, Majid Jordan, Roy Woods, Dvsn, Rochelle Jordan, and so many more have helped to develop a new sound in the genre.

And now – Rhyan Douglas is staking his claim in the R&B game.

Douglas is 19 years old and hails from the Toronto suburb of Brampton. He takes a lot of inspiration from fellow Canadian R&B singer Daniel Caesar, but also from greats like Donny Hathaway and Stevie Wonder. Learn more about him in the first episode of our interview series The Side Dish.

“Last Page” is his debut single taken from his upcoming debut EP ‘Circles.’ And we can’t wait to hear all the Rhyan has in store for 2024. Starting with his latest drop: “Conversations.”
